
This is what we want to achieve.

These instructions are for PSP 9.
These pages will be slow to load as they are
graphic intensive. They are written for
those with only a basic knowledge of PSP.
Materials you will need.
Paint Shop Pro
Get a trial version here.
A tube of your choice.
Download mine here.
A mask of your choice.
Download mine here.

I do not know who the artist is of the graphic.
If you know, please let me know so that I can
give credit where credit is due, or remove it.
Now that we have all the materials that we
need, we can get on with our lesson.
Please feel free to play with the settings and
come up with something different.

Drag this arrow to keep track of where you are.

1) Open a new image 500 px x 500 px,
transparent.
2) Flood fill with a pattern.
Tutorial for my pattern is here.
3) Load/save mask/load mask from disc.
Nonny mask 23.
Settings:
Source Liminance: checked
Fit To Mask: checked
Invert Transparency: checked
Hide All Mask: checked

4) In the layer palette, go to:
Mask Raster Layer 1
Right click and select "Delete"
Answer "yes" to the question that comes up.
Then go to Group Raster Layer 1
Right click and choose Merge/Merge Group
Shown below

5) Give it a drop shadow.
Settings:
Vertical: 4
Horizontal: 4
Opacity: 50
Blur: 5
Color: black or one of your choice

6) Add your tube. Resize if necessary.
Give it an inner bevel.
Give it the same drop shadow.
Inner bevel shown below.

7) Add a new raster layer.
Send it to the bottom.
Click it in the layer palette to make it active.
8) Resize the canvas on that layer.
Make it the same height, but change
the width to 1280 px or larger depending
your screen resolution.
Make sure that the left arrow is checked.
Make sure that resize all layers is not checked.
Settings shown below:

9) Flood the resized layer while it is
still active with a pattern of your choice
or a color of your choice.
10) Merge all flatten.
11) That is it. It is now ready for use
in a stationery.
