Laraine's Frame

I wrote this tutorial with permission from Laraine.
She was kind enough to tell me how she did this.
She was also kind enough to allow me to put it on
my web page so that every one could do it.

This was done in PSP 9.

Materials you will need

Paint Shop Pro
Get the trial version here

Ulead Art Texture Plug-In
Go here

My graphic if you wish to use it.

Right click on the graphic, Choose
"Save Picture As" from the menu that pops up.
Save it to a folder of your choice.

graphic that I am using.
If you know, please let me know so that
I can give credit where credit is due.

Now that we have all the materials that we need,
we can get on with doing the tutorial.

Drag this arrow to keep track of where you are.



1) Add a border of 5 px.

2) Select the border with the magic wand.

Using these settings:

Match mode=RGB Value
Tolerance=0
Feather=0

3) Go to Effects/Ulead effects/Art Texture

Use these settings:

Pattern: 3-5.
Pattern Template: #3

Ulead ArtTexture

4) Click edit and choose Palette # 25 in the
next window that opens up.
Click okay

Ulead Ramp Editor

5) Selections/invert.

6) Selections/3D Effects/Cutout

Use these settings:

Vertical Offset: 2
Horizontal Offset: 2
Opacity: 70
Blur: 13.1
Shadow Color: black
Fill interior with colour: unchecked

Cut0ut

6) Repeat, but change the Horizontal
and Vertical to -2.

7) Selections/3D Effects/Chisel
Transparent checked.

8) Selections/select none.

9) Repeat the first 8 steps once more.

10) Repeat the first 8 steps three more times, but change the border size to 8 px.
